About Me
Hi again. My name is Josef Utbult.
I am an embedded developer specializing in musical instruments and gear. I’m from and currently reside in Sweden. My passion in life is to build funny things, and my intention with this site is to show of my projects.
This site is not intended to contain step-by-step technical guides on my projects. It will rather show of the projects, walk you through my process creating them and lay out some of my discussions/rationalizations for them. As I don’t have that much time at the moment, it will probably be updated quite infrequently. But hopefully it can serve as some sort of entertainment and inspiration for you.
From Gothenburg to Luleå
My journey began on a small island group outside of Gothenburg, Sweden. That’s where that weird last name comes from, as the majority of all Utbult’s reside there.
I studied at Luleå University of Technology in the northern part of Sweden, where I got my masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Industrial Computer Systems. This time consisted of a slight bit to little studying and way to much time spent at the universities electronics association, XP-el. There I worked on fun projects and tried to teach myself the foundation of embedded developing.
After a couple of years too many, I finally got my degree and moved to Stockholm. Now I work for Clavia DMI as an embedded developer on their Nord series of stage pianos and synthesizers.
